Judy Hayes

Hayes, Judy, Saginaw, Michigan. Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper Campus surrounded by her family. Age 69 years. Daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Lugiewicz) Gilginas, Judith Marie Hayes was born March 21, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to James A. Hayes on October 31, 1964. He survives her. Judy was founder and owner of Holiday Hair Fashions. She and her husband were founders of Hayes Specialties Corporation. Judy was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, League of Catholic Women, past president of Ladies Auxiliary of the Showmens League of America, past president of U.C.T. Council #43 Auxiliary and member of World Wide Showmens Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and especially spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband James are two sons, Jim and Angela Hayes, Saginaw; Jason Hayes, Freeland and grandson Matthew, who was the light of her life; her sister, Patricia Wachowicz, Saginaw; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Gilginas, Willa Hayes and Shirley Hayes; several nieces, nephews and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her brother Eugene Gilginas. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Friday 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Salvation Army of Saginaw County, Judith M. Hayes Memorial Fund sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Showmen's League of America. (5013) or charity of your choice.
